Because everybody loves a good “Donut,” we have a special for you! This is one of the sweetest, most heartfelt horses we’ve ever owned, he’s filled with try and sprinkled all over with talent! Donut is an OWN SON of the legendary GUNNER, or Colonels Smoking Gun, whose LTE is $177k and he’s sired more than $16 million in earnings. Plus he’s out of Miss Brim Star who won $49,926 herself, and produced nearly $112k. Standing 14.3 hands and weighing over 1,200 lbs, clearly this guy has the breeding and build to do big things. Wise beyond his years, he has a work ethic better than most humans! We all love his disposition, and his ground manners are top notch, he is a true gentleman in every scenario. With all his talent, and ability we see an untapped potential for him to go in any direction. He already has a solid foundation in the reining, with a strong stop, clean turn around, and cadenced circles it’s easy to watch him. We see him as a top notch candidate to make a switch end rope horse, Donut has the size, agility and speed when you need it, and has the mind to handle it all. He has been started on the hot heels where he rates and tracks great. If you’re looking for a show horse he would excel in the ranch horse classes. There’s nothing that will beat him in the conformation, he is as straight legged and correct as they come with balance and profile that can’t be faulted. Plus he oozes kindness so you want to come back for more! On the rail he travels level, smooth, and clean with a happy expression. We have started him in the trail and he is very careful, inquisitive and brave with all the obstacles. Outside the arena Donut is beyond confident! He will head off by himself, and go anywhere you point him. Cross the creek, go through the ditch, ride amongst the cows, out in the bean field or down the trails, it won’t phase Donut at all, he loves the new scenery. He’s gentle each and every day and can handle time off with no trouble. Kick him out and he fits right into the herd with no fuss. With his go along, get along nature, it’s no wonder our 10 & 12 year old kids love riding him. They know they can expect the same horse every time. Life is short, buy the Donut! Guaranteed you won’t regret it. Please reach out to us with any questions, call or text Andy at 515-231-9267.
