Blaze is a 15H, solid-built, 2009 sorrel AQHA gelding with a lot of life. Was shown last year at the local 4-H county fair in several classes; blue ribbon in the halter gelding class. Knows the barrel and pole patterns; has been taken to local speed events. Sides passes and backs up quiet; appears to have some "cowy" background, but not for sure. Sure-footed trail horse, goes through water, mud, wooded areas, over logs, bridges, etc. Does not spook. Rides on the road; rides alone or together. Good for farrier and vet. Picks up all 4 feet and stands quietly for saddling, grooming, bathing, etc. Loads and unloads well. Blaze has a strong personality and is best suited for a confident rider with some experience. His most frequent rider is a 15 year old girl with 5 years of riding experience. When ridden consistently, he performs well. If he sits too long, he will need a refresher. Overall, a good mount for someone looking for a strong partner.
